3 Horses, a Donkey and an Interview

Yesterday, whilst enjoying a lunch with my mother at the Boho bar, i recieved a phone call which explained to me that i was requested to attend an interview. So today, i went to my interview which was quite successful! I have to go back in tomorrow to basically view what i may have to do if i get the job - if anyone is remotely interested its for a marketing company. Anyways, after my interview i came home to find that mum had the day off of work. Taking advantage of this, we went shopping and after that, we went up to the horse to clean out stables etc. While we were up at the horses, we took some photos of the ponies in action... we also took some pics of Benji the Donkey in the paddock next door and gave him some sugar cube which we think he rather enjoyed! To explain the photos - Ella is our horse and she is only a year old, so she is still not fully grown and hence her looking a bit gawky. Ash is a 10 year old pony and Blacky is a little shetland pony... im assuming he is about 10yo as well... and as for Benji the donkey, well, i cant tell you alot about him except that he likes sugar cubes. Anyways, thats my day for you. Hope everyone is doing spankingly. Catch!

Skyshow

Along with what seemed like the rest of Adelaide, I headed down to Bonython Park and enjoyed a picnic of sorts with Pip, Raquel, Scott, Darryl, Kristen and Remigi before Skyshow. It was an interseting experience to say the least. Having not been to Skyshow in several years, I had forgotten about the constant invasion of personal space at such an event. Our Picnic rugs were layed out hours before anyone around us, but still we managed to be trampled on by people who lack the consideration of others and their property. Some decided that a gap through the middle of a picnic is as good as a pathway - are we at such a point in time where walking around a picnic rug takes too much of our precious time? Those of you who went to Marryatville HS will remember Castine's famous "respect" speeches at every school assembly (if not - it was the little ten minute gap of the assembly you were actually asleep for, rather than just dozing) and I cant help thinking that maybe a small percent of the population Adelaide needs to sit through that same boring speech, to grasp a small concept of what its like to consider other people.

Anyways, aside from the inconsiderate people (which i suppose has to be expected from some), we had a great time catching the bus to and from the event and eating lollies and taking pictures, listening to music and of course watching the actual skyshow.

Ok, well i think its about time I signed off because i really dont have much more to say! Let me know what you thought of Skyshow... I am interested to hear about anyone else's experience. Enough said from me... catch you all soon.

B-Ball

Ok, just thought I would alert eveyone to the fact that I played my first EVER game of Basketball tonight and besides the fact that I SUCKED BIG TIME... I can say that I kind of enjoyed the experience (Thanks Pip)! Im pretty sure that my suckiness (if such a word exists) was due to my lack of height, skill and overall co-ordination, and probably the fact that I ran around the huge court like a little lost dog, chasing the ball around and getting knocked over by girls who actually knew what they were doing. Anyways, Im going now, but i was very excited to tell everyone about my sporting experience. Thanks for reading. Catch!

Good Times

Today (which i have just realised, is yesterday) A couple of us headed up to Jaz's house to catch up. At about 3pm, Ebony and i decided to trek up the hill from my house to jaz's house and foolishly chose to take a "shortcut" through the park.... after sliding down the prickly, long grassed hill (that separated us from Jaz's house) several times, we made our way to the front door and began the celebration! After Raquel arrived, we decided to go for a swim, so we donned the swimmers and braved the cold water for about an hour. After our swim, and a few more people arriving, we cracked open some drinks and sat around for the afternoon catching up with everyone whilst snacking on chips and dip. The snags went on the BBQ, and wearing a rather fetching outfit, I stood and stylishly turned the sausages to perfection (or at least until they were cooked). We sat around for a few more hours until it was dark and we were all being eaten by mosquitoes and decided it was probably time to go home. Fun was had by all!

Happy Valentines Day

Happy Valentines Day to all of you. I hope everyone had a great day today and were all spoiled rotten with lovely things by lovely people. If you didnt, then please dont fret... I spent the day at home, organising Camp America visas and looking for a job! I then went and played some tennis for an hour and a half. Charlotte and I went and had dinner together and then caught a movie due to our freedom-ness on such a day and just for the fact that we could! Anyways, have fun guys!

Out and About

Esther's 18th birthday party was enjoyed by all who attended last night. A group of about 12 of us all met in the city and caught a bus out to the Victoria Hotel in O'Halloran Hill. We all piled off the bus and trekked across some gravel and dust and made it into the recently updated hotel. We the spent the night celebrating Esther's birthday munching on finger food, catching up with each other and dancing, with the DJ playing some awesome tunes, both old and new. While we waited outside in the cold for our Des's mini bus, Barratt and I spoke to the security guard, who generously gave up his jacket to keep the two of us warm, on the one condition that he could still have his badge (i think he felt important with it on!). The Des's mini bus came, sadly with no Des, but nevertheless he kindly drove 12 of us to our door steps. Happy Times.
Hope everyone is having fun and being good... dont do anything i wouldn't... Catch!

Aussie Aussie Aussie!

At 10:30am this morning, I got a message from Ebony, telling me that the Australian Cricket Team were going to be a Marryatville Primary School from 1:45pm. Being the cricket fan that I am, I promptly sent her a message back, saying i would be at her house by 1:30pm, to pick her up. We made our way to the primary school and Ebony did some sweet talking to a few teachers who remembered her, and we waltzed into a school assembly to see Ricky Ponting, Adam Gilchrist, Michael Hussey, Andrew Symonds and Redbacks players Dan Cullen and Callum Ferguson. We then moved outside and ran around amoungst teachers, children and repoters, getting autographs, taking pictures and talking to to the players until we decided to go home. T'was heaps of fun! Ok, well thats my excitement for the day, hope you are all doing well.
Stay safe, be good and have fun!

America!

Well I officially have the news! After several forms, too much money and an interview, Im off to the USA to be a camp counsellor at Camp America! I have been placed in an international (horse) riding camp in the state of New York, 5 miles from Ellenville (where ever that is!) - Im yet to find out what i will actually be doing at this camp but some of the activities include water skiing, tennis and of course horse riding (being a riding camp), all of which I have put down to teach as a counsellor. I start on the 25th of May 2006 and finish on the 15th September 2006 but after my finishing date, my visa will allow me to travel around the country for a couple of months.
Anywhos, hope you are all having fun and being good. Dont do anything i wouldnt!
